About Quaker Investment Company Limited

Quaker Investment Company (QICL) was registered in 2014 as a fully owned investment wing of the Nairobi Yearly Meeting (NYM). The primary aim of the company is to ensure NYM utilizes its assets better so as to generate the financial resources required for ministry and operations. It is a company limited by Guarantee with 50 members representing all our monthly meetings and representatives from the 4 programs of NYM and representation from NYM as the sponsor. The QICL board has 13 members who all serve under a signed Declaration of Trust to NYM. Members work in regional investment councils and also thematic workgroups based on their experience.

Who We Are

Prior to the formation of QICL a lot of effort had been made by local meetings and programs to enrich the investment portfolio of church. NYM continues to encourage these efforts. While NYM Trustees remain the custodians of the property on behalf of church members, QICL will work with the meetings and programs as the Investment Consultant/Manager/Developer. Members should therefore continue to trust the Lord for property and to make effort to generate revenue from those investments.

QICL MISSION

QICL exists to promote the stewardship of NYM resources by

- Educating NYM members on property development and management
- Securing ownership of the NYM assets
- Working with NYM meetings, programs and management committees to facilitate proper and profitable investments
- Ensuring that QICL and NYM are sufficiently resourced for their operations.

Develop proposals for investment projects and it's upgrade.

Ensure all statutory regulations are complied with in respect to the Church.
